Racist anti-Japanese posters from WW2

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Wednesday June 19, 2002 11:32author by corkboy

A lesson from history

These posters amongst others show how the American gov sought to demonise and de-humanise Japanese people during WW2. They tell the poeple that they under threat, from whom and what to do about it. They are of particular interest to today in the 'post Sept 11th' world.

every government tries to demonise the other side in the case of capitalism, during the 2 ww all the allied gov. tried to demonise all germans as nazis. the same thing can be seen in the posters pasted above. even Stalin did the same thing allowing thousands of german workers to be demonised and raped and pillaged by the invading red army.

Corkboy,
The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. They mistreated American prisoners on Bataan during the March of Death in 1942 and executed captured members of the Doolittle Raid. I must be a racist for mentioning these facts.
